There are a lot of movies that have won awards in the past for best story and all that. Those movies got those awards because fans recommended and talked good things about them. However, do you think that there is a movie that has won an award in the past that didn't merit such an award?
I do not watch movies at all. Therefore, I cannot say if a specific movie never deserve to receive any award. Having said that, I believe that any kind of movie that hurts the sentiments of people certainly does not deserve any kind of reward at all.
Some award decisions honestly look political sometimes 😭 I remember when people argued for weeks online about certain Oscar winners and even my friend became a film critic overnight. Awards do not always mean the movie connected with the people emotionally. Sometimes it's the industry forcing it on us.
