WordPress any day, but it's not free like Blogger. With Blogger, you just need to sign in with Gmail and start posting. No hosting fee and there is no domain renewal. But Blogger looked like an abandoned project since 2015. On the other hand, wordPress gives you full control, plugins, and professional look.

I have tried blogger before, but I did not like it. I certainly plan to start a blog in the future. However, I might opt for WordPress. The fact of the matter remains that I have tried blogger in the past, but the themes of the blog were not that good. They looked so unprofessional. So, I would probably choose WordPress.

Can you even migrate blogger away from blogger?

WordPress allows migration whether you use the .com or use the self-hosted software.

If you want to use free site, wordpress and blogger both are good, but I suggest you try blogger if you want to monetize your blog
