Have you ever fallen asleep while standing up?

maxwolfstein65 · 6 days ago · 7 replies · 77

Never in my life has it happened to me—and I don’t think it ever will—that I’ve fallen asleep while standing up. What about you? Has it ever happened to you that, while standing, you actually fell asleep? And I don’t just mean feeling sleepy or like you’re about to drift off—I mean literally falling asleep while standing. Has that ever happened to you, or not?

I've never fallen asleep standing up. I can't imagine how that would even happen! 😂

Why would I stand up and try to sleep? There's nothing wrong with my brain. If I feel sleepy, I'll go and lay down.

I really have a harder time falling asleep while I am lying down in my most comfortable position, so falling asleep while standing is out of the question. I sometimes feel that I have mikd insomnia and this is what makes things harder for me whenever I go to bed. Having said that, whenever I fall asleep, I sleep for a very long time.

That's funny. I wish you all the best. There are so many people who have a harder time falling asleep, as they suffer from insomnia. I have heard of a disease that prevents people from sleeping and it is worse than insomnia. The disease is called Fatal Familial Insomnia and it is a really frightening disease if you ask me. ☹️

I have fallen asleep while standing. I was talking to someone who didn't want to let me go home to sleep and that happened. He started laughing at me when it happened, but that was what made him allow me go home.
