How often do you have to replace your trail running shoes?
Do you replace them due to wear and tear? Or some other reason?

I replace my trail running shoes as often as it needs a replacement. I love to enjoy my run so I don't need shoes that would make me uncomfortable. So when once I noticed any bad fittings or shoes not looking so good I would change it.
I probably replace mine once a year.
My area is pretty rugged in terms of rough trail surfaces, so the shoes really get a good workout.
For me, it's mostly due to wear and tear after long use, though.
