Anyone into hiking at all?

I’m a very avid hiker. I hike every weekend and have done so for about 16 years now.

I love hiking, but the weather really has to be good for me since my thoughts are that I’m going to be 60 this year, and if I get hurt, it could be for the rest of my life. I live in an area where it’s hilly and gets slippery fast, so I am very cautious after a rain and will never hike in a rain, snow, ice or immediately after.

I too love hiking. I mainly day hike, but I really want to get more into backpacking short overnight trips.
