Does pace matter to you?

As a trail runner, does your pace matter to you at all?

Running on the road gives you better control over pace, but on the trail, there are so many elements that cause us to not be able to maintain a consistent pace.

Do you try to maintain a certain pace nonetheless or do you not really care about pace?

I honestly don't care about pace cause i feel this is just another way to put myself under unnecessary pressurs.

I think pace in generally difficult to maintain on trails anywho!

The road is easy to maintain a pace, but the trail constantly changes.

For me pace is less useful. Effort, breathing, and control matter more. As my stride changes, It is more about the terrain and footing on a trail which pace doesn't really matter.
