Forum community managers are hard workers and they manage the forum everyday. Therefore, I think that forum managers should be paid well if they are doing a great job of managing the community. So, how much compensation do forum community managers deserve?
It's quite bizarre rather fascinating. It's not David Attenborough but YouTube’s animal & pet content is on fire. 🔥🔥🔥People are now into them- doing random things. Are animals more entertaining than humans? What's the most hilarious video you’ve watched & why did you share it?
Pets bring life, accompany us with their happiness, comfort & plenty of laughs into ordinary day. You may have a dog or cat, or another animal buddy, pets can create a special bond. Have a pet? What's unique about your pet?
My family have kept goats as pets and I must say that goats make great pets. Goats are incredibly great animals and they are really adorable. There are many benefits if having goats as pets. Goats can get along with humans. So, do goats make great pets?
Hello everyone! How are you?
A little bit about me……I enjoy reading (a lot), spending time with my cat, watching movies, playing movies, and spending time online working on my blog. If you want to know more about me, just ask. Otherwise, I’ll be seeing you around.
Hey all, I’m Fanta (no-ice).
I haven’t run a forum in a while but I do like posting on them, so this seemed like a good fit. I like games, tech and The Simpsons.
How are we all doing?
To say the truth, it's not easy to save money in the present time where the prices of food and transport fares double every now and then. I wrote down a strict budget last month, I cut down on some expensses to give room for savings, but an emergency occured out of nowhere and all the money was gone. So, how do you manage to save money in this difficult economy?
To say the truth, chasing online hustle day and night while trying to be present in your family is not easy at all. Sometimes I lock myself inside the room for hours churning out content, and before you know it, the day has already gone without saying a single word to my wife or kids. To be honest, I am grinding for my family. Someone needs to put food on the table..
It all depends on us. Destiny is unchanging and predetermined by individuals. However, Destiny has to move forward along the path of logic based on a variety of factors to be effective. Some of us are happy, some sad, and some are successful; others are not, because of destiny.
Our destiny would work out depending on our actions and beliefs to make something we feel is necessary and good for the future. Life is what we make it, though. If we work harder, we will succeed, thus making our lives successful.
The society makes it look like saying No to someone makes you a bad person. The other time a friend was asking to lend her some money, immediately I said No, she tagged me bad on social media. I realize that trying to please everybody is the fastest way to go bankrupt. So, I don't hesitate to say No sometimes. What about you?
My GO-TO quick meals are super simple.
RAMEN noodles – If I have veggies like cabbage or diced or shredded meat, I throw that into the pot. Also, now and then, I crack an egg into the boiling broth.
GRITS – Takes 5 minutes on the stove top. I may or may not crack a couple of eggs into the grits. Add salt, black pepper, and butter. That's not optional!
There is something genuinely special about food. Some eat for function some for comfort. Whether its home-made, takeaway, or a simple snack, certain meals hit the spot. What food do you turn to when you need a “feed”, when you genuinely want something satisfying?
A few changes rolled out today:
Reservations now last 24 hours
Before: reserved slots expired at midnight in the community's time zone, so depending on where you live and when you reserved, you might have had only a few hours.
Now: every reservation lasts a full 24 hours from the moment you reserve it. Please remember: When the reservation expires and you’ve made 7/10 posts, you’re only credited what you made. Creating 3 posts the next day does not count!
See exactly how long you have left
Before: the deadline was in small print and shown in UTC.
Now: every reserved slot shows a live countdown. It turns amber under 3 hours and coral under 1 hour, and shows the deadline in your own time. You'll also get a reminder on your dashboard when unused slots are about to expire.
Simpler topic and reply targets for community owners
Before: you couldn't lower a target below everything already posted plus every slot writers had reserved. That included slots that had already expired but were still held for 48 hours. You also couldn't see where that number came from. Turning off topics or replies meant guessing the exact number to type.
Now:
Set any number. Set 0 to turn topics or replies off completely.
The only limit is slots writers are actively holding right now. If you try to go lower, Postloop tells you exactly why: "Writers are holding 10 reply slots until 16 Oct 14:30. Set replies to 10 or more, or try again after then."
Posts already made and expired reservations no longer block you.
Your integration page shows each target, how many posts are made, and how many slots writers are holding and until when.
Clearer messages for writers
Before: "No slots remain in this community's target."
Now: you'll see whether the owner has turned that type off or its limit has been reached.
Faster dashboard
Moving between pages in the member dashboard is now quicker and smoother.
I tried changing the reply limit on my Spark Promotion listing to 200 so that it would display topics only, as the listing shows that 200 posts have already been made. However, the system doesn't seem to allow me to set the limit below 250.
Could you please look into this? I'd like to set my Spark Promotion listing to display topics only without having to increase the limit to 250.
What are some forum niches that you struggle to post on as a freelancer? I really struggle with sports and gaming forums. Do you research topics if you're asked to do a service or do you just avoid them?
Gaming has changed a lot over the years, but some games are more memorable than even their newer adaptions. Great characters, storylines & soundtracks make games-unforgettable. Which game today, could you play without ever getting bored? Well for me COD on XBOX.
If you were asked to provide a posting service on a ghost forum would you take the job up or would you say no? A ghost forum is one with very little members and very little topics or even a dead forum.
There are many forum admins who regularly hire forum moderators. These moderators could be useful when it comes to managing a forum and posting in the forum in a regular manner. Soz how many forum moderators you may need?
Got burned by a "writing job" and a "data entry job," both using Telegram. What red flags do you watch for now?
Do you ever have those days or even weeks where you have no clue what day it is, or end up being a day ahead or behind?
This past week, for some reason, I have been a day ahead of myself and just today, I thought it was Wednesday until I checked and realised it is only Tuesday.
I found out that it is not easy to manage volunteer moderators. I have given members mod privileges and within two weeks, half of them vanished into the thin air or they start abusing their power on regular users. Since you are not paying them, how do you keep unpaid mods motivated and loyal without the whole forum falling into total chaos?
Starting a phone shop is a complex business. You may need to hire phone repairers and sell used ohokes as well. Selling used phones night be a bit risky. Having said that, many shopkeepers sell new phones only. So, how do you start a phone shop?
Hey,
I’ve noticed that someone is reserving posting slots multiple times. They have already been approved and completed their allocated slots for both Spark Promotion and ChatterSpace, but further down the posting jobs page, they have reserved additional slots again.
This means those extra reservations are holding up my credits even though the original slots have already been completed. I’ve also noticed similar reservations appearing in the expired jobs.
It would be great if this could be looked into, as the duplicate reservations are unnecessarily tying up my credits.
Thanks!
I currently have 176 posts waiting for me to rate, and it got me thinking that there must be a better way to handle ratings than having to rate every post individually.
Could Postloop consider adding a bulk rating option? For example, allowing users to select multiple posts and give them the same rating at once, or perhaps having a quicker rating system where you can move through posts without needing to load a new page each time.
When you have a large number of posts to rate, doing them one by one can become quite time-consuming. A bulk or faster rating system would make the process much more efficient while still allowing users to review the posts properly.
