Pottermore used to be one of my favorite sites. I loved when it was interactive. It looks like they put all the Pottermore content on the main Harry Potter site now.
Did you ever use Pottermore and what did you think of it?
Do you enjoy on holiday? Do you do one big one a year or lots of little ones? Me and my partner are going away for about a week and a half next month for a sci-fi convention.
We tend to go on smaller ones although last year we went on one for about three weeks.

Book Name: The House Saphir
Author: Marissa Meyer
Format: hardcover
Age Range: Young Adult (teen)
Genre: fantasy, romance, mystery, retellings, romantasy, fiction, gothic, ghosts,
Synopsis: Mallory Fontaine is a fraud. Though she comes from a long line of witches, the only magic she possesses is the ability to see ghosts, which is rarely as useful as one would think. She and her sister have maintained the family business, eking out a paltry living by selling bogus spells to gullible buyers and conducting tours of the infamous mansion where the first of the Saphir murders took place.
Mallory is a self-proclaimed expert on Count Bastien Saphir—otherwise known as Monsieur Le Bleu—who brutally killed three of his wives more than a century ago. But she never expected to meet Bastien's great-great grandson and heir to the Saphir estate. Armand is handsome, wealthy, and convinced that the Fontaine Sisters are as talented as they claim. The perfect mark. When he offers Mallory a large sum of money to rid his ancestral home of Le Bleu's ghost, she can’t resist. A paid vacation at Armand’s country manor? It’s practically a dream come true, never mind the ghosts of murdered wives and the monsters that are as common as household pests.
But when murder again comes to the House Saphir, Mallory finds herself at the center of the investigation—and she is almost certain the killer is mortal. If she has any hope of cashing in on the payment she was promised, she’ll have to solve the murder and banish the ghost, all while upholding the illusion of witchcraft.
But that all sounds relatively easy compared to her biggest learning to trust her heart. Especially when the person her heart wants the most might be a murderer himself.

Have you seen the horror version of Pride and Prejudice? I wasn't thrilled with it at first, but the next time I watched it, it kind of grew on me.

How heavy is your e-reader? I have a Kindle Fire that I use to read and it really wrecks my wrists/hand because it's just too heavy. I considered getting a lighter e-reader, but didn't want to spend the money.
Book: The Fulcroft Ghosts
Author: Darcy Coates
Genre: Horror/Fiction
Age Range: Adult
Format: Paperback
Review: I finished reading this last night and I thought I'd share. This particular author is usually my auto buy author when I'm looking for something scary to read from the horror genre. While the story lines were good, and the ending was a complete surprise, I couldn't help feeling like this wasn't as scary as her books usually are. This won't put me off as far as reading future material from this author, don't get me wrong.....I still have other books I plan on reading from this author. This book was more of a suspense/thriller than something from the horror genre.

Synopsis: When their mother is hospitalized, Tara and Kyle are sent to stay with their only remaining relatives. Their elderly grandparents seem friendly at first, and the rambling house is full of fun nooks and crannies to explore. But strange things keep happening. A bedroom remains locked at all times. Doors slam and curtains shift when no one is inside. And there are whispers of a sister who drowned in the lake long ago.Something is being hidden away, kept safely out of sight...and the children can't shake the feeling that it's watching them. When a violent storm cuts off their only contact with the outside world, stranding them in the haunted manor, Tara and Kyle must find a way to protect themselves from their increasingly erratic grandparents… and from the ghosts that haunt the Folcrofts' house. All at once, they're forced to confront the secrets of the manor. But can they ever hope to escape the unforgivable secret that has ensnared their family for generations?
