It doesn’t matter if your forum niche is unique or has been tested a thousand times, what actually makes you successful is how you execute your idea. Some people fail with tried-and-true concepts, while others thrive with unconventional ideas. Your success depends on how well you plan, execute, and adapt, and not just the niche itself.

For my day job, I work in gaming surveillance. As part of my official duties, I perform investigations into control violations, criminal activity, money laundering, and fraud.

Investigating is a very thorough process that requires you to be unbiased, withhold opinions, and really pay attention to the details.

This skill is something I’ve brought to forums. If an abusive incident takes place, I perform an investigation before I take action. I feel this is the best way to avoid taking the wrong action, which most always results in more unwanted results from angry members.

Do you also use the investigative strategy on your forum when dealing with abuse, or do you just hurry up, act, and beg for forgiveness later?

Is moving your forum to a subdirectory better for domain authority? There are so many arguments on this. Some people say subdirectory would get its authority from main domain, while subdomain is treated like a separate site. For new forums, subdirectory could help you rank faster because Google has already trust your main domain. What do you think?

Hello all, I used to be a gamer and modder in the past and now I just like to code.
I have several projects that I am working on, although the biggest one that I am working on is a social network project.

How often should I post on my own forum?

This is just a maintenance work that so many people neglect until the problem start to show up. If your sitemap has dead links or outdated pages, Google would waste time crawling nonsense instead of your fresh content. Some people say submit sitemap weekly, others say monthly but the truth be is, it depend on how often you publish.

What are some features of today’s web that you think will disappear in the next 5 years?

I think traditional passwords will be one of the first things to become obsolete. Biometrics are going to replace them, and it’s way more secure. CAPTCHA puzzles are going to go away as well, I think behind the scenes checks will finally set us free from them.

The worst feeling is when you wake up and your site was down for 6 hours and you don't even know. UptimeRobot is the popular one. The free plan would help you check every 5 minutes and send email to that effect. Some people use Pingdom but the free version is limited. Others just dey manually check their site every morning like a ritual. How do you do yours?

Before I discover caching, my site takes 8 seconds to load, visitors would just bounce before the page even show up. I try WP Super Cache, it worked a little but the configuration was very confusing. Then I jumped on W3 Total Cache, it was more powerful but it's too complicated. Which one are you using?

This has happened to me twice and the pain is so enormous. The first thing is to check Search Console to see which pages has drop in ranking, and to confirm which keywords has vanished. Then try to audit your content. Maybe it's low quality or maybe it was outdated. Update the old posts, add fresh info, build small backlinks as well. Those are the things needed to recover your lost ranks in search engines.

I have grown different types of flowers in my garden and roses take first place when it comes to my choice. \

Roses need a lot of pampering - manuring, trimming the works I have lost a few now and hope to add a few more

Admins in Forums can make or break relationships with users. In one Forum I could never get along and they were the reason why I left the Site At the moment I am in two forums where I write and earn both Admins are very polite, helpful and are eager to get feedback and work on it I just look forward to being there evry day
