A round of fixes

No new features this time, which is why this one is 2.0.10.1 and not 2.0.11. It is a round of fixes for things you reported in the support forum and the live chat, plus a few errors our monitoring caught before most of you ran into them.

Widgets between categories, now with custom templates#

Widgets placed between two categories did not show up on boards with a custom index template, because that template draws its own list of categories. They now appear after their category on every board, stock or custom. If you built your own index template, there is nothing to change. Want them somewhere else inside a category? Put {{{ this.widgets_after }}} in your categories loop and they print exactly there.

Spam leaves the index when you flag it#

Flagging a member as a spammer hides everything they posted, but their post could stay behind as the last post on your forum index and in topic lists. The last post now moves back to the newest real post the moment you flag someone, and comes back if you remove the flag.

Rename pages in Page Studio#

New pages in Page Studio started life as "New page" and stayed that way. Open the page menu at the top of the studio and you will find a Page name and a Page address for the page you are editing. Change either one and press Rename page. The address takes letters, numbers and dashes, and has to be unique on your board. Links to the old address stop working, so update any menu link that points to it.

Live chat in the sidebar#

• The emoji picker fits. In a narrow sidebar the picker was cut off by the chat box. It now opens next to the emoji button and stays inside the screen, wherever your chat sits.

• Emoji keep working. After closing and reopening the picker, choosing an emoji did nothing. It inserts every time now.

• Preview as a group tells the truth. Previewing your board as Members still showed staff-only chat rooms to board owners. The preview now leaves out your own extra groups and personal permissions, so staff rooms stay hidden exactly as they are for real members. You keep access to the admin panel, so you can always end the preview.

Smaller fixes#

• Translate mode no longer shows an error page on pages that contain unusual characters.

• A bulletin with unfinished HTML can no longer break the rest of the page, which sometimes stopped image uploads further down from working.

• Search links with broken characters in them open the results page instead of an error.

• Pressing Register twice shows the usual "already taken" message instead of an error page.

• Notification emails now wait a few minutes before trying again when the mail server drops the connection.
