What is something you just refuse to spend your money on?

I don’t get when I will pay up to $50 to deliver a meal to my doorstep. An amount of money that will feed me for the whole day if I cook myself should not be used to order just a single meal, it’s not good financial decision to me.

What is one thing you refuse to spend money on?

On cloudy days, do you go out anyway, or do you stay home?

For me, it’s a bit of both; there are days when I want to go out and days when I want to stay home. It really just depends on how much I feel like going out, but a cloudy day doesn’t stop me from enjoying either going out or staying in. What about you?

City or countryside? Where would you like to live?

This varies entirely depending on a person’s tastes and what they are looking for in life. Personally, I like the city—I prefer living in a city—but I’d also like the option of having a house a bit further out; I wouldn’t want to be right in the city center, but not too far away either. I couldn’t live in the countryside—it’s just too much nature and solitude for my taste. Where do you prefer to live—the city or the countryside—and why?

Do you prefer summer or winter when you’re at home?

Assuming you have both air conditioning and a heater—which is why I mentioned that at the start—summer becomes quite manageable with AC, and winter is equally manageable with a heater. Without them, you’d likely suffer through both seasons. But which do you actually prefer: summer or winter? I’m referring specifically to being at home—not going away on vacation or anything like that. I know there are other seasons, but when it comes down to these two, which one do you prefer? Which one do you find easier to endure?

Debit or credit card?

Do you have debit or credit card for your banking transaction? Personally, I don't have any business with using credit card because it's definitely going to put me in financial problems. It's why I'm very comfortable using only debit card.

Do you make use of debit or credit card?

Do you sleep with the light on or off?

As a child, I used to sleep with the light on—though probably only until I was about 6. After that, I couldn't do it anymore; I absolutely had to sleep with the light off. Ever since then, I’ve slept with the light off my whole life. In fact, unless I’m extremely, incredibly tired, I just can’t sleep with the light on. Is it the same for you? Or what’s it like for you? Do you sleep with the light on or off?

Do you prefer curtains or blinds?

Growing up, when I was living at home with my parents, we always had curtains unless it was in the bathroom, then we would have a blind.

Since getting my own house and turning it into a home, I have found that I prefer blinds in some rooms, such as the kitchen, bedrooms and also the bathroom, but in the living rooms and dining rooms, I much prefer curtains.

Do you prefer curtains or blinds when it comes to your home?

Do you find it relaxing to bathe in hot, warm, or cold water?

For me, taking a warm bath is quite relaxing—it doesn’t matter if it’s summer; warm water always helps me relax. I don’t like the water to be too hot or too cold. How about you? What water temperature do you find relaxing?

Do you eat breakfast or not?

Not me—I don’t like eating breakfast. I might have a little something every once in a while, but I never drink tea, coffee, or anything like that in the morning; it doesn’t agree with me—quite the opposite, actually—it makes me feel really unwell. How about you?

Do you trust your friends with money?

Personally, I think I've been burned so many times that trusting anyone with money is never going to happen again with me. I rather dash or gift a friend or anyone money but will never fully trust anyone with my money.

Do you trust your friends with your money? Do you lend them money?

Microdosing LSD — Has Anyone Here Actually Tried It?

Here's something I've been thinking about lately, and I'm genuinely curious to hear other people's experiences.

When I was younger, I used to do a fair bit of LSD. Actually, saying "a fair bit" might be an understatement. 😂

Those days are long behind me, though. I haven't touched the stuff in years, and I'm certainly not looking to go back to spending an afternoon watching the walls melt or having deep philosophical conversations with a lampshade.

But lately, I've been reading about microdosing LSD, and I'll admit, it's got my attention.

For anyone unfamiliar with it, microdosing involves taking very small amounts of a psychedelic, with the intention of avoiding a full-blown trip.

I've read stories from people who claim it's helped with creativity, motivation, focus, mood, and just generally having a different outlook on life.

Now, I know there's a big difference between people's personal experiences and what science has actually proven. The research is still pretty mixed, and I'm aware there are risks involved.

But here's the thing...

I'm getting older, my priorities have changed, and I'm at a completely different point in my life than I was back when I was experimenting with LSD recreationally.

I'm not interested in getting high anymore. I'm more curious about whether there's actually something worthwhile behind all the talk about microdosing.

So I'm seriously considering exploring the idea, but I'd like to hear from others before making any decisions.

A few questions for anyone who's tried it:

  • Did you actually notice a difference in your everyday life?

  • Did it improve your mood, creativity, or motivation?

  • Was it anything like what you expected?

  • Were there any negative effects?

  • Would you recommend the experience, or do you think it's mostly hype?

And here's another thing I'm curious about: Has anyone who used LSD recreationally when they were younger come back to it years later through microdosing? I'd be especially interested in hearing that perspective.

I'm not looking for medical advice or encouragement to do it. Just some honest conversation from people who have been there.

Maybe there's something to it. Maybe it's all placebo. Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Either way, I figure it's worth having a discussion about.

So, let's hear it. Is microdosing LSD genuinely worth exploring, or is it just another overhyped trend?

What's something you wish you had learned five years earlier?

Sometimes, one lesson learned earlier could save us years of stress, wrong decisions, and unnecessary heartbreak. What's one thing you've learned in life that you genuinely wish you had understood five years earlier? It might be something that could save someone else from learning it the hard way.

Remote or onsite work, which do you prefer?

There are two major types of jobs these days, there is remote work where you can do from the comfort of your home. Then there is one you have to go to the work location.

Both surely have their perks and disadvantages. Which do you prefer and why?

What helps you save money effectively?

What has been of great help to me is that I save first before I spend. I have a percentage of my income meant for savings, so immediately I get paid I save before spending the rest. It has helped me build up my savings consistently.

What helps you to save better?

Do you believe in Santa Claus?

A silly question, but maybe some of you still believe—I’m not sure how old you all are—do you still believe in Santa Claus? And if the answer is no, until what age did you believe he was real (if you ever did)? I thought he was real until I was 8—lol, it was really disappointing to find out he wasn’t.

Do you have air conditioning?

Obviously I have one; it’s impossible for me to go without air conditioning, especially in the summer. I’ve had to spend a few summers without AC—relying only on a fan—and it was the worst torture imaginable. The heat in the summer is unbearable without air conditioning; it’s absolute torture, lol. Do you have air conditioning, or not?

Do you have a telescope?

This is something I’ve been meaning to get around to for a long time; as soon as I can, I need to buy a telescope. It’s something I’ve always wanted—both for observing the planets and the galaxy in general—though you never really know if you’ll actually manage to see anything or not. Do you have a telescope, or are you planning to get one?

What would you do if you suddenly woke up in 2016?

Imagine you woke up one morning and you discovered that the year is 2016. Quite interestingly you still have the memories of the years you lived until you went back in time.

What are the things you would do more or differently?

Do you take a nap?

Some people do it, but I don't. The only way I’ll take a nap is if I’m really exhausted—like after going out on the weekend and staying up for a day or two, or something like that. Otherwise, it’s impossible for me to nap. It’s not like I need to, though, so I don't. Do you take naps?
