Is it disrespectful to the audience when a series ends on a cliffhanger and never returns?

I cannot stand when a series leaves off on a cliffhanger due to being canceled, especially really good ones. There is never any closure, you feel totally let down, and you’re left wondering when the next good show will be cancelled with a cliffhanger for an ending.

With that being said, this topic belongs in the ‘TV and Streaming’ forum. I will be moving this thread there for further discussion.

Do you like to swim?

I am not a good swimmer at all. I stink at it. I tried over and over years ago when I was younger. I’ll get in the pool, but the deep end and I don’t get along. I would no doubt do worse at sea.

Hey @Shawn! It’s good to see that you’re over here now. I was wondering when you would make your way here. Welcome to the forum. 😀

Have you ever watched Seinfeld?

The show is pretty good and has some funny episodes. I haven’t seen all of the series, that is I don’t think so.

Anyway this topic belongs in the ‘TV and Streaming’ forum, which is where I’ll be moving this thread to for further discussion.

How to create a daily calories deficit

The fact is that to lose weight, you need to create a calorie deficit by eating less and exercising more, but also ensure you still consume enough nutrients to avoid deficiencies. Eating more calories than you burn, you gain weight. And if you eat fewer calories and burn more calories through physical activity, you lose weight.

.So how many calories should one eat per day to lose weight? -

Winter Gloves

I believe also that waterproof gloves isn't a bad idea for winter trail running. It is a good protective gear for the hands in bad weather and in cold while running. The bottom line is that we just need good running gloves as a barrier to protect our hands from bad cold, wind, or rain, keeping us warm and comfortable during our run.

Only Fools & Horses

I absolutely love this series and seen each episode hundreds of times. No matter how many times I see an episode, I still laugh as hard as the first time I watched it.

My overall favourite is The Jolly Boys Outing and then the Christmas Special with the pocket watch where they become millionaires.

What is your favourite episode?

Winter Training

On Nov 5, 2026, NeonShadow said:

The great thing about running indoors is that the seasons don’t affect you. In winter, if it’s freezing outside, you’ll be much warmer indoors and can run without any issues; in summer, you can just turn on the air conditioning, and you’re all set—you can run without feeling like you’re going to die from the intense heat and direct sun. 😂

My point exactly, By running indoors, your body will be better able to handle the strain of your workouts with less risk of injury. Cold weather is incredibly drying to the body and running can be restricted. Running Indoors during winter offers no weather worries · and you would be in a controlled environment for better focus.

Do you watch the news?

Sometimes I come across news stories online—I rarely seek them out, but, as I said, I end up encountering them whether I want to or not. Occasionally, though—just every once in a while—I do take a look; I like to stay informed about what’s happening so I can remain alert and not fall into the trap of thinking that life is all sunshine and roses. But I don’t check the news often or consistently, because, as others have already pointed out in the comments, it’s depressing—and not just that, it fills you with fear. Seeing so many negative things can actually make you afraid to live your life.

Does using journaling make it easier to mentally relax?

On Nov 5, 2026, Shawn said:

I used to work at a job that I hated. I was so miserable that I would stress so badly that I would give myself ulcers.

That bad!

Before I finally had enough and quit, I’d write to help ease the stress.

I maintain several blogs and writing has always been a favorite non-fitness activity of mine.

I bet I’d write like 5 big blog posts a day back then. Each one being 2K to 5K words long.

Writing still helps me. It gives me a dopamine hit. I get excitement, even as I write them post.

I’ll never let AI take that from me; I love it too much!

The bit about the ulcers really strikes me; I’ve certainly experienced plenty of hatred, stress, and rage myself, yet I never developed an ulcer. That’s really rough for you. It’s a good thing that writing, at least, provided you with a fair amount of relaxation—mentally, anyway—even if it wasn’t quite as much as you truly needed. But just imagine what might have become of you if you hadn’t written; you would have literally exploded with rage.

What do you like about forums?

I don’t mind a bit of toxicity, but I do mind if a forum is completely dead. I don’t like forums with low traffic because you end up talking to the same few people over and over again—it’s boring. The whole point is to meet new people every so often through the forum you’re participating in.

Do you like anime?

On Nov 5, 2026, Gizmo said:

I've never really seen anime. I've seen the show Hamtaro from years ago.

Really? That’s strange—it seems odd to me that someone, at this point in human history, hasn’t seen a single anime. Hamtaro is a lovely anime; I used to watch it when I was a kid. You really should check out anime—if you enjoy series and movies, anime has absolutely everything. Do you like action-packed superhero stories? It’s got that. Do you like monsters and horror? It’s got that, too.

Easier to find new writers

I would love a widget or something to see the newest writers so I can see if there is any I need to invite to my communities.

The Find Writers page lists writers in alphabetical order with no way to sort to see the newest writers.

Favorite season

On Nov 5, 2026, Augusta said:

The weather is always fair enough during summer here. When it is scorching hot then deeping self in the swimming pool is evitable. But I always prefer a friendly weather that don't leave one too cold for comfort or too hot to make one uncomfortable.

Sure, but generally speaking, what are the temperatures like in the summer? And what temperature range do you consider pleasant? Because, depending on how hot your country is, what a person considers "pleasant" will obviously vary significantly.
