Got a gravel bike or multiple gravel bikes?

Show them off here.

Here’s a pic of me with my Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 with AXS.

It’s been a great bike!

Let’s see yours!

Let’s see your road bike(s) here!

Mine is a Trek Domane S 4

It’s a carbon frame bike and I really like it. I’ve had it for a while and I keep it well-kept.

I wish trucks would last as long as bikes LOL.

Your turn!

I don’t like being involved in drama, so I try really hard not to start any on forums.

I do bite my tongue a lot LOL

When established members are mean to newbie members, I usually split.

I can’t stand people like that.

Oh yeah I remember seeing that federated phpBB fork years ago. It’s nice but to me it feels a bit cursed to combine something Reddit-based with classic forums.

Chat Addicts is a vibrant, friendly online forum built for anyone who loves to talk. Whether you want a place to chat, share, debate or just hang out, you’ll find your corner here.

As some of you may remember, Chat Addicts was originally launched in 2009. Unfortunately, it was later closed due to rising hosting costs and the loss of the database following a hard drive failure.

Since then, I have made a few attempts to relaunch the platform. The most recent relaunch ultimately led to its closure, both due to dissatisfaction with how certain features were implemented and, more personally, following the sudden and unexpected passing of my mother less than six months after my father.

Over time, I have continued to reflect on Chat Addicts and on how much I miss the classic, old-school general chat forums. With that in mind, I have decided to revive Chat Addicts once more, this time with a focus on allowing it to grow slowly and organically, while preserving the traditional forum experience that many of us value.

I sincerely hope you will choose to support Chat Addicts again, and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together this time.

You can find us at https://www.chat-addicts.net

We look forward to seeing you 🙂

I like the new England Revolution. I don’t watch soccer too much these days though.

They have a good team this year! They are 2nd in the Eastern Conference.

I haven’t played American Football, but my cousins and little brother did. One of my cousins went on to play for UConn.

That's awesome. What position did he play? What years?

While browsing Reddit yesterday I came across a post in Reddit Alternatives for a new modern Imageboard. Everiot is a European based Imageboard but it looks like the staff uses AI moderation. I don’t think I’d join this one, I don’t really care for imageboards to begin with and if they’re using AI moderation I’m sure many posts get flagged as spam even if it’s not. Though if you like imageboards you might like this one so I decided to share it here.

Dang that site didn’t last long and I wish I knew about it when it was still online. Looks way better than Youtube for sure, RIP. I’ve heard of VidLii before making this forum however I’ve never used the platform before.

Over the last few days I’ve been spending quite a bit of time working on Empirekicking again, and if you’ve visited the site recently you’ll probably notice that quite a few things have changed.

I wanted to give the site a bit more of an identity rather than it just being a forum with a homepage stuck on the front of it. So I’ve been going through the homepage, changing the layout, moving things around and trying to make the different sections actually feel like they belong together.

I’ve also been working on some of the content that sits around the forum, including new pages and different sections that I can hopefully build on over time.

There’s still plenty I want to change. I keep spotting little things when I’m looking at the site and thinking “that could look better” or “I could do something with that”, so I’m sure there will be plenty more changes coming.

The main thing I want is for Empirekicking to feel like somewhere you can actually have a look around, find something useful, read what other people are doing and hopefully get involved yourself.

It’s still a work in progress, but I’m quite happy with how it’s starting to come together. Have a look around and let me know what you think. If you spot something that looks odd, doesn’t work properly or you think could be improved, tell me. I’d rather know about it than have something broken sitting there for months. 😂

There’s plenty more planned, so this definitely isn’t the finished version yet.

Hopefully goyimx continues to work!

One thing I don’t like of that instance compared to other ones running normal Nitter is that I can’t exclude things like retweets from search and the font it has it’s so fucking blurry and doesn’t match with some dark themes

Nice

A lot of it’s very expensive. In fact, where I live now, assisted living, is a place where doors have no locks - so I simply can’t have expensive things!

What are some differences? Who has wrestled in school? How did that go?

My dream job would be to become a full-time video game content creator and streamer on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. I gave it a shot from 2017 to 2022, but things changed, and I moved back to my first line of work, writing.

I do enjoy writing as my job, but given the chance, doing content creation and streaming as well would be amazing.
Hopefully I can get back to that one day 🙂

I want to create educational content on YouTube etc.. I’m learning to use tools like Overleaf and PDF.net.
