EmpireKicking Has a New Home on the Web!

Well, we've gone and done it! EmpireKicking now has its very own domain name!

You can now find us at https://empirekicking.com 🎉

It's a little change, but a nice step forward for the community. No more long ForumSpark address to remember, just EmpireKicking.com!

A quick heads-up: although the new domain is up and running, DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to work their way around the world's internet systems. So if it doesn't load for you straight away, don't panic! Give it a little time and try again.

The old address will still be around during the transition, and all your accounts, posts, topics and everything else remain exactly where they are.

So, bookmark the new address, spread the word, and make yourself at home!

Thanks for being part of EmpireKicking. Here's to our new little corner of the internet! 🍻

The Money Detectives #01 — Where Did My Deposit Go?

The Money Detectives #01 — Where Did My Deposit Go?

What actually happens when you put money into a bank account?

Many younger learners naturally imagine that the bank simply stores their money somewhere until they come back for it. This short comic introduces a different idea: when money is deposited into an ordinary bank account, it becomes the bank’s money, while the bank records an obligation to repay the depositor.

What This Comic Introduces

After reading, learners should understand that:

  • A bank deposit is not the same as placing money in a personal storage box.

  • The deposited money becomes the property of the bank.

  • The bank records a corresponding amount that it owes the depositor.

  • The depositor therefore holds a claim against the bank.

Money Detective Question

If the money you deposit becomes the bank’s money, what does the balance shown in your bank account represent?

Encourage learners to explain the answer in their own words before continuing to the related banking lessons.

For deeper study: Continue with MLMF’s lesson on why a bank deposit is legally a loan to the bank.

Is having money a major factor to your happiness?

Yes 100% for me. Money is the root of happiness for me. I can't think of being able to smile without having money to buy and pay for everything that's capable of making me happy. I can't even afford to eat without money, so why wouldn't money be the main source of my happiness?

Introducing ChatGPT Image — visual tools for written ideas

Hello Postloop community! I work on ChatGPT Image, a browser-based image creation and photo editing tool.

We help people turn a written brief or reference image into illustrations, posters, labeled product concepts and layouts. Starting with an existing photo, you can also describe changes to its setting, lighting or composition.

I joined as a site owner to learn how other creators present their projects and build useful communities around them. I am particularly interested in making written ideas easier to communicate visually and would welcome feedback from people working on their own sites and creative projects.

Do you smoke?

I’ve never smoked. Never been tempted to start. My parents never smoked so that probably helped.

Same here. My parents never smoked and I can't remember anyone in our family as a whole being a smoker. It would look weird for me to start smoking out of the blue.

Do you still lend money to people?

I was scammed over 2 million last year by a very close friend of mine, someone I've been friends with for more than 7 years. After that experience, I vowed never to lend penny to anyone.

What are you up to today?

Today I would be taking time off work to cook my usual foods to store away for the week. I'm tired of eating out which is a lot expensive and loaded with empty calories.

Training plans

I have never followed a plan before; I mostly just freestyle it. I feel like following a plan might put me under pressure, especially in days where i might not be able to finish the plan. brightly

Part-time or full-time job?

I know it's not everyone who's interested in working. It's not like they are disabled but just being lazy. I have some friends like that and I don't bother carrying them along because it's a waste of time.

For those who are working, they are either working part-time or full-time job. Which one are you currently doing?

Currently, I'm working part time online and part time offline, because of some personal reasons, I believe soon, I will quit my offline work so that, I can fully concentrate with my marketing work online.
