Not always. I mean, the Bible says not to tell a lie - but I think God understands. For instance, with my wife, the truth was she had serious mental illness and she was violent. But nonetheless, I couldn’t always be direct with that too much - because she loved our son and condescending remarks like that would have hurt our relationship and her mental health seriously.

But I did say those remarks before she died, when things were collapsing - and we were fighting. I said those things in anger cause she was giving me silent treatment, throwing things at me - etc..

I’m not usually. Well, I believe my 6 year old son needs money and I’m cheerful giving it to him - but others, frankly, NO. They are just a bunch of beggars - and they are exploiting hospitality. They need to work - but I don’t have the heart to tell them to buzz off. 😡

I was wondering where all these “know it all” bossy personalities come from. They come from a society obsessed with sports maybe.

So in this case, everything is a competition - so everyone’s trying to one-up each other and be better.

Oh yeah I remember seeing that federated phpBB fork years ago. It’s nice but to me it feels a bit cursed to combine something Reddit-based with classic forums.

You can do voice texts on chat also. My son is 6 years old - so probably he’s not the greatest reader yet - so voice is important.

I don’t trust others with my money, generally speaking - and I don’t trust myself with other people’s money. Well, one time my wife was in jail - and I mismanaged her money. I felt really bad about it and she left for a long time. I can’t really blame her - but managing money is a weakness of mine.

I might block someone who unfriended me. It’s because I don’t want to have nothing to do with them!

But, generally, I’m not a hateful person. Even when my wife was separating from me for a time - I never blocked or unfriended her. If anything like that was going on - she was doing it.

I don’t really care about retention. If I want a dark forum - for whatever niche, I can just make one and the complainers can leave - LOL.

Well, I’m not some color fascist that’s saying gaming forums are only allowed to have a dark option, stuff like that.

But I can see avoiding dark for gardening forums or something, ha ha, LOL.

A big problem though is whether or not they are spambots or real members. For instance, I got 61 and 78 members for two forums, respectively - but I don’t know if they are spambots. Well, they haven’s posted spam so maybe they’re real - but then again, they aren’t posting anything at all!

I would like to hire some, but I’m going thru hard times right now economically.

Well, my idea is to hire a few for each forum and keep them posting for a year or two.

They say a lot of diabetics die in their 40s. My wife died at 40. Her dad died at 40, I think. In fact, I believe she has some kind of mystical feeling she was going the same way. And my own cousin went blind and then died around 44 I think.

Our daughter every now and then goes like 100 mph. We have her on 360 app, even though she doesn’t live with us.

Her mom will get on her like she’s 10. I just keep telling her if she gets pulled over, since she’s 20, it’s going to be an expensive ticket and insurance is going to go up. I told her she’ll be 100% responsible for the cost.

My daughter lives in a big city, so she has plenty of choices for public transportation. Parking is awful, so I hate going there to visit!!

The stomach is said to be where a lot of illness begins. I eat sweets and people complain about it saying I’m making things worse for myself. I dunno.

I still haven’t had Covid, had anaphylaxis both times to the vaccine and I really don’t get sick. This came on suddenly, which was a shock to me. I guess I’m back to hand sanitizing after touching those pay screens at the store!!

FKTs being an obsession is an interesting point. I think you’re on to something there.

Tara Dower is a good example. She just keeps going and going to beat other FKTs and even her own. She’s a beast!

I used to love beating my time on the 20 mile ride when I was in my 40s. I was faster than the teenaged boys in my classes (I was a substitute teacher), and that really boosted my ego that needed it since I was never an athletic person! When I hike now, I don’t even look at the clock. It’s about being out there and feeling great and watching the wildlife around me.

One of my favorite trails where I walk, and others run, it’s hunting season for archery and will be hunting season until probably February of next year for various game and the ways that they can be killed. High visibility orange clothing is mandatory and usually I just avoid that trail except on certain Sundays where hunting is forbidden. But I’d like to look into getting something orange to wear without it being too expensive.

If you’re in a similar situation, what do you wear?

It depends on how advanced you mean in the way of finances. Children can learn how to save, but teaching them about investments and returns is too complicated. That’s something the 20-year olds should be learning.

In high school, we were taught how to properly write checks and that worked out great for me later on when I finally got a checking account. I know not all schools teach that, and that’s a shame.

The label setting text is a leftover from v1 that I forgot to take out. BBCode has been transitioning out for a while, and we don’t really plan on adding it back. Hence why we added a customizer instead.

You could further enhance it by adding css in your theme. But for labels, I recommend keeping them simple.

So I did get the wrong end of the stick…..as for converting… I dont know how to make themes let alone convert them…😂

And yes..Jcink was down for a while… so…I may make a backup forum here…as an ‘incase’… hmm..

I picked me up some new trail running shoes from the Missouri Running Co.

Brooks Cascadia 20

I love them so far. I’ve put about 10 miles on them, so they’re still pretty new.

They’re more comfortable than the Merrells I was using before.

Any of you ever worn these shoes?

Enjoyed a nice 10K trail run yesterday during the evening.

• Distance: 6.2mi

• Pace: 15:14/mi

• Run time: 1:35:47

• Elevation gain: 551ft

Weather was still a bit warm, but we’re having a cool down this week.

I’m going to try adding a second run a week this week and beyond.

I've got Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video AND NOW TV, so you'd think I'd never struggle to find something to watch… yet somehow I still spend half the evening scrolling through them all trying to decide! 🤣 Netflix is probably the one I use most, but I do like having the choice depending on what I'm in the mood for.
