Topics and posts
This guide is for your members; link it, or point people here when they're new to forums. It covers the basics of talking on the board.
Starting a topic
Pick the forum that fits, press the new topic button, and give it a title people can understand without opening it: "Crash after the update on Windows" finds help faster than "HELP!!". Some forums pre-fill the editor with a template; it's there to help you include what matters, so fill it in rather than deleting it.
Replying well
Reply at the bottom of any topic. You can quote someone by selecting their text or using the quote button, so it's clear what you're answering, and mention someone with @ and their name to notify them. If a topic is marked solved or locked, it's done its job; a new topic usually serves you better than reviving an old one.
The little things that make you a good neighbor
React instead of posting "+1"; that's what reactions are for.
Edit your post to add a thought instead of double posting right after yourself.
Report anything that breaks the rules rather than fighting it in the thread; staff handle the rest.
Your first post feels like a big deal on any board. It isn't; everyone here was new once, and introduction forums exist precisely so the first one is easy.
