Security logs
Security logs are the board's black box: a record of security-relevant events so you can answer "what happened?" with facts instead of memory. You'll rarely need them, which is exactly the kind of feature you want to have before you need it.

The record, newest first.
What gets recorded
Security-relevant activity on the board, tied to who did it and when. When something looks off, a setting changed that nobody admits to, a member claiming their account acted without them, this is where the reconstruction starts.
Reading them well
Logs are for questions, not for browsing. Come with a timeframe and a member or action in mind, and the answer is usually right there. If what you find suggests a compromised account, a password reset plus a session sign-out solves most of it; platform-level suspicious login detection is watching ForumSpark accounts on top of that.
Make the log your first stop when staff disagree about what happened. It's not about distrust; it ends "I never did that" conversations in thirty seconds with nobody's word against anybody's.
