The ForumSpark account

Updated October 21, 2026

A ForumSpark account is one identity for the whole platform: a member signs up once, and every ForumSpark board can welcome them with a click. For your board it's the lowest-friction door there is, because for a lot of arrivals it means no registration at all.

What it does for your members

  • One login everywhere. Members sign in to your board with their ForumSpark account, the same one they use on any other board here.

  • The Hub. Their account comes with a personal dashboard across all their boards: feeds, notifications, their identity in one place. Your board is part of their daily round.

  • A consistent self. Their avatar can follow them from their ForumSpark identity to your board automatically.

Your controls

In Configuration, then Settings under ForumSpark SSO you decide how this door behaves: on as an option beside your own registration (the default), or as the only way in if you want every member on platform identity. You can auto-approve members arriving this way even when normal registrations need approval, since platform accounts are already screened, and choose whether their avatar syncs.

Platform sign-in also carries platform protection: suspicious login detection watches for stolen accounts across all boards, a layer of security your board gets for free.

Leave it on. Even communities that want their own registration front and center lose nothing by accepting ForumSpark accounts too, and every member who already has one joins your board in seconds.
